Why RAMUS Saddles Are Shorter Than Traditional Triathlon Saddles
Most cyclists are used to seeing a long saddle nose. So when they first see a RAMUS saddle, the reaction is often the same: Is it too short? Where do I sit when I move out of aero? Does it only work in one position? These are fair questions. RAMUS looks different because the design logic is different. RAMUS was not developed by starting with a traditional long saddle shape and then making small changes to it. RAMUS at the Arctic15 Startup Conference
RAMUS took part in Arctic15 in Helsinki on 11 to 12 June, joining the Experience Zone with an anatomy-driven triathlon saddle setup. The event brought together startups, investors, founders and innovation-driven companies from different industries. For RAMUS, it was a valuable opportunity to present a physical sports technology product in a broader innovation environment. RAMUS was also recognized as a Top 100 Innovation Honoree at the 100 Innovations, Shaping the Future Awards 2026 at Arctic15. At the RAMUS booth, visitors were able to see several RAMUS saddle models and pad options on display. The setup helped show RAMUS in its natural environment: triathlon and time trial riding, where the saddle plays a direct role in how well the rider can hold an aerodynamic position. The core idea behind RAMUS is simple: in aero riding, comfort is not only about softness. It is about stable anatomical support where the body can carry…
