TRULY ANATOMIC TRIATHLON SEATS
The story of RAMUS seats has began in 2017 as a DIY project when Erik Huotari the designer of RAMUS seats bought his first triathlon bike. He noticed right in the beginning that there was something wrong with the original seat of his bike. This notification evoked a development process involving several design modifications until a unique RAMUS seat form was established.
The ultimate goal of the RAMUS seat design was pain free riding experience especially in the aero position. It is well known that mismatch between the rider and the seat can cause multiple uncomfortable issues and some of them can be serious. RAMUS seat design respects pelvic anatomical structures. It maximizes the support for ramus bones and at the same time minimizes soft tissue pressure and that’s where the name of the RAMUS seat comes from.
The current line up consists of five different models and you can read more about them in the seats section. The key for a perfect fit is to measure the distance between rider’s sit bones (ischial tuberosities) and then choose a seat with a corresponding width.
RAMUS seat frames are manufactured from extremely durable nylon by high level industrial 3D printer with HP Multijet Fusion technology. This technology allows the design to be kept open for continuous improvement and enables even individual modifications. To push the limits of individualization even further RAMUS seats have replaceable seat pads which you can select based on your preferences without the need to change the whole seat.
